A Regency resort with a year-round town behind it

Sidmouth sits where the River Sid meets the sea, between the red cliffs of the Jurassic Coast. The Regency seafront, Connaught Gardens and the folk festival bring visitors through the summer, and the streets behind the Esplanade are full of independent shops, cafés and galleries that count on them.

For most of the year, though, the customers live here: in the town, in Sidford and Sidbury, and in the villages up the valley. A Sidmouth website has to work for both, with hours that change with the season, clear directions and parking, and pages that name the town and the valley, so local searches find you before a directory does.

Sidmouth, on my map.

I am based in Cranbrook, about 9 miles from Sidmouth as the crow flies. The line on the map is the route out; every town you cover gets named on your site, so local searches find you.

Half to start, half when you are happy for it to go live, and your deposit back if you do not like the first version. No VAT to add, the words are written for you, I do not charge for hosting (if that ever changes, you get three months’ notice and a free move to your own accounts) and the domain is in your name.

Questions before you start

Anything else, ask me directly and you will have an answer the same working day.

Can my site keep up with the summer and FolkWeek?

Yes. Opening hours, menus, event notices and offers can change as often as you need. You change them yourself in the editor in a couple of minutes, or on a care plan I make the changes for you within three working days.

I am already on the booking sites. Do I need my own website?

The booking platforms bring guests, but they take a commission and show your place next to everyone else’s. Your own site is where returning guests find you and ask or book directly, and it is the address your Google Business Profile points to.

How long does a site take?

A one page Starter site goes live in about a week, a five page site in around two weeks and a larger build in three to four weeks. You get the date before any work starts.

Ready when you are.

Tell me what the business does. You get a fixed price and a live date in the first conversation, before any work starts.

A flat-lay of everyday things from many small businesses: a cup of coffee, yellow tulips, hairdressing scissors and a comb, a dog collar and lead, nail polish, a tape measure, a paintbrush, a car key, a cleaning spray, a house key and a small potted plant
